First time?
The World Tennis Masters Tour is World Tennis (ITF)'s international circuit for players aged 30 and over. You enter on the World Tennis website. Here is how it works, in six steps.
Why the World Tennis Masters Tour
Serious, competitive tennis doesn't stop at 30. There are tournaments around the world almost every week, and every age group has its own world ranking.
500+
tournaments a year
~70
countries and regions
30–90+
age groups in 5-year steps
Competitive tennis for life
Age groups run from 30+ to 90+ in five-year steps, so you always play people your own age. Every time you move up a group, you're the youngest challenger again.
Your name on a world ranking
Results earn ranking points, and you appear on the ITF world ranking for your age group. Year after year, you can see your progress in numbers.
Start at the level that suits you
Grades go from entry-level MT100 up through MT200, MT400, MT700 and MT1000. Anyone 30 or over with a player registration can enter — no record needed (when a draw is full, players are selected by ranking and similar criteria).
See the world through tennis
Tournaments are held in about 70 countries and regions. In Asia, more and more events are appearing in Japan, China, India, Thailand and beyond — a weekend and a few days off are enough to play abroad.
Friends all over the world
Alongside singles there are doubles and mixed, and you can partner players from other countries. Friendships that last long after the tournament are what many players love most.
Represent your country at the World Championships
Once a year the World Team and Individual Championships are held. In 2026 they come to Ariake, Tokyo.

Sign-up and entry Q&A
What is the World Tennis Masters Tour?
It is World Tennis (ITF)'s international circuit for players aged 30 and over, with tournaments in more than 70 nations. Results earn world ranking points in each age group.
How old do I need to be?
30 or over. Age groups go up in five-year steps and are set by the age you turn during the year (you can play from January, even before your birthday).
Do I need ranking points to enter?
No. If you're 30 or over and registered on World Tennis Tour Zone (formerly IPIN), you can enter with no points. Points only decide the order of acceptance when there are more entries than places, and the seeds; unranked players are drawn at random after the deadline.
How many events can I enter?
Up to three events at one tournament. Only one of them can be singles; if you play singles you can add up to two doubles or mixed doubles events, and without singles you can play up to three doubles/mixed events. Some tournaments set a lower limit on their fact sheet. You can't enter tournaments whose dates overlap. There is no limit on how many tournaments you play in a year.
Does registering on Tour Zone cost anything?
Registering as a Masters player is free. Each tournament has a USD 12 (or JPY 2,000) fee on top of the entry fee, for up to 5 tournaments a year (max USD 60); from the 6th it's free.
Can I register my name in my own script?
No. Enter your given name and family name in Latin letters. You don't need a passport.
How do I know I'm registered?
A confirmation e-mail arrives after the final screen. Press "here" or reopen tourzone.world.tennis — if you can LOGIN, you're registered.
A payment screen appeared during sign-up.
Masters is free. If Masters Tour shows $0.00, press CONTINUE. If an amount appears, press CHANGE CIRCUITS and pick only Masters Tour.
My English isn't great. Can I still register?
Yes. Follow the sign-up slides on the "First time?" page, and use your browser's translate feature for the English screens. If you're stuck, use "Ask AI" or contact us.
Do I need to speak English?
No. Matches run on scores and standard tennis words, and at the venue you only need short set phrases for sign-in and checking your court. See the sign-up slides and venue phrases on the "Getting started" page.
What do I need to enter?
A World Tennis Tour Zone registration (formerly IPIN). Create an account on Tour Zone and enter tournaments from that account.
When is the entry deadline?
Normally 10:00 GMT on the Tuesday six days before the Monday of the tournament week. Some tournaments differ, so check the tournament page. This site shows each deadline in your time and in venue time.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the tournament. On top of the entry fee, an ITF / IPIN service fee (equivalent to USD 12) applies to each tournament. Amounts and payment methods are on each tournament page.
What if I withdraw after the deadline?
At most tournaments the withdrawal deadline is the same as the entry deadline. Some tournaments still charge the entry fee if you withdraw after it. Check the notes under "Entry fee" on the tournament page.
Where can I see draws and results?
On the official World Tennis website. When a tournament sends us draw PDFs, we also post them on its page here.
What if this site and the World Tennis website differ?
The World Tennis website is the official source. If you spot a difference, please let us know through Contact.
You don't need ranking points to play
Many people think they can't enter without points. You can. If you're 30 or over and registered on World Tennis Tour Zone (formerly IPIN), you can enter with no points at all.
Points only decide the order and the seeds
Points are used to rank entries when a tournament has more entries than places, and to choose the seeds. When there are more entries than places, players further down the list go on the alternates (waiting) list.
Players without points are drawn at random
Players with no ranking are placed in a random order after the deadline, so entering early or late (before the deadline) makes no difference. Late entries go to the bottom.
Start close to home
Lots of players start at MT100 or MT200 events. Win matches and you earn points, which moves you up the list next time.
Doubles works the same way
Teams where both players are ranked come first, then teams with one ranked player; teams with no ranked players are drawn by lot.
You don't need fluent English
Matches run on scores and a few standard tennis words, and at the venue you only need a handful of set phrases.
Sign-up follows fixed steps
Registering and entering on Tour Zone always uses the same buttons — follow the slides above.
Set phrases are enough
Sign-in, checking your match time and court, collecting balls — it's the same every time. Showing the phrases below works.
Use a translation app
Camera translation for notices and conversation mode help a lot. For the order of play and draws, names and numbers are all you need.
Go with others
Use "Find company" on each tournament page to meet players who speak your language.
Handy phrases at the venue

- Can we exchange contacts? Do you use WhatsApp?
