Akari Inoue

Hello everyone, I'm Akari Inoue. I think I started tennis when I was three or four.

My main results: 19 doubles titles on the ITF tour, and runner-up at the All Japan Championships in both women's doubles and mixed doubles.

I'm with Hashimoto Sogyo, where I manage the corporate team, and I also coach at Tokyo International University. My main focus is coaching and growing the game.

At the World Championships I'd like to be some kind of encouragement for people my age. It's probably a busy stage of life for many, but I hope I can give everyone a reason to look after themselves and keep going.

I'm not someone who just blasts the ball — I think my way through matches. I hope people enjoy watching the tactics and how I go about winning points.

From here I want to put my energy into junior development, and into developing people more broadly.

Drawing on my experience as a professional, I want to take on developing people who can succeed around the world — in tennis, of course, and through tennis.

Tennis is called a lifelong sport — everyone from small children to older adults can play. And it's a sport shared all over the world.

I hope you enjoy it, connect with all kinds of people, and use tennis as a way to make your life richer.
